This is an antique Lithuanian spinning wheel's distaff (with
handle)
. It is one of the main parts of spinning wheel which is an ancient machine that turned fibers into thread or yarn, which were then woven into cloth on a loom. Usually spinning wheels have their distaffs missing, thus this makes this part one of the rarest to find.
