Description

For sale is a fully welded CNC gantry kit.  The kit includes these parts to make a CNC plasma table or CNC router.
(3) Fixture welded 3/16" steel assemblies
(18) Sealed bearings with a steel shield
(18) Bolts with nuts and spacers for mounting the bearings to the assembly.
The kits are designed to fit square tubing that is 2"x2", 2"x3" or 2"x4".  Please pick the option you would like in the drop down menu.
These parts are made on a CNC plasma table and may require some light deburring.
The assembly has a lot of adjustment if you need it.  The bearings are sealed with a steel shield.  They are a standard part number available at any bearing supplier, mcmaster carr or amazon.
The design requires a 1/2" x 1/2" gear rack (20 degree, 20 pitch) available from mcmaster carr.  Depending on the type of motor you use and the pinion size, the accuracy and repeatability of this design on your table is roughly +/- .010".  A 12 tooth pinion fits this assembly great.  If i spend time adjusting my gear mesh, i can control my table repeatability to +/-.002.  After purchase i can send you exact part numbers for the gear rack and pinion if you are interested in using them.  They are available in 2, 4 and 6 ft.
When making your table, you will still need a z axis assembly for torch height control, or routing depth. I have had some people use this style gantry for z axis movement, but i think a lead screw setup is ideal.
