    Added a few pictures of how we believe this tool is used. I didn't have any yarn, so used cotton twine. Worked nicely. Beautifully Custom made Tool to Wind Yarn Skeins.Whoever made this did a beautiful job. It is well designed for the person who may only want to wind a few skeins every so often.  Replaces those hands stuck out, as I remember my Grandfather doing for my always knitting Grandma!  The wood is Oak and Teak, I believe. The finish is super smooth making taking off the wool or other spun material super easy. Really is just beautiful to look at. Not using it? Put it out as a decoration and talking point. I'm a woodworker and I just picked up this piece because it was so attractive. I had no idea what it was for. Someone, in the know, informed me and then it made perfect sense.  If you have any more information, please let us all know. Thanks
